The other three states of consciousness - waking, dreaming and sleeping - cycle along
Consciousness is a part of the cycle of human experience. It was introduced after the separation and makes the mind perceive and create things. However, this domain is also the domain of the ego, which can only see what it wants to see and not what it is in truth.
A Course in Miracles is an excellent source of guidance in this cycle of consciousness. David cites ACIM as an important tool to transform one's life. He began reading it for 8 hours a day, and found other ACIM students to share his experiences. He attended five groups a week. After he became more involved with ACIM, many students began asking him questions.
This teaching can also help people cope with the daily stresses of life. The world, which is a giant distraction, constantly portrays the pain and suffering of the mind as something external. Ultimately, if we are aware of ourselves, we do not need to focus on external situations.
This awareness is essential for our daily lives. Six billion people around the world are living in stressful jobs and occupations that drain them of energy. We live in a world full of stress, trying to survive, while at the same time trying not to die.
Jesus became David's internal teacher
Jesus became David's internal teacher by speaking to him in his mind. He answered David's questions and gave him practical guidance for day-to-day life. Through Jesus, David learned to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and to rely on Him in every situation. This is the same type of teaching that Jesus gives to his disciples, and it is also the same guidance that he gives to us today.
David was a skeptic, constantly questioning things and never accepting conventional answers. He sought guidance and support in the Course, and encountered Jesus. Jesus guided David to hand over day-to-day life management to Him, answering his questions and providing inner discernment. His faith in Jesus and the Course led him to accept the truth about himself.
After experiencing Christ's love and compassion, David began to seek inner peace and realized that he was not a victim of karma or suffering. He then bought a Peace House in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he welcomed many seekers seeking to find Christ's presence within themselves. He soon became involved in online ministry, eventually launching websites with free resources and online courses.
David wanted to build a temple to replace the tabernacle. God had instructed Moses 400 years earlier to build a tent of meeting, so David wanted a permanent structure. Yet, God never asked David to build a temple for himself, even though it would be more beautiful than his temple.
After David was anointed king, he was a mighty leader and impressive man. Yet God had prepared him for this position by speaking to his prophet Samuel. But David seemed to be intentionally pulled away from his goal. He feared his future might become a nightmare and the God's promise was lost.
Spiri is a spiritual guide
David Hoffmeister is an internationally recognized spiritual teacher and a practicing mystic. His non-dual teachings are grounded in Christian mysticism, Advaita Vedanta, and the desire to live a life of devotion. His book Spiri is filled with inspirational stories and enlightening messages.
The author has written a book that will appeal to readers of any religious tradition. David's writing style is very eloquent, but he has a unique way of explaining complex concepts. He uses Christian terms and a poetic language. His writings are based on the teachings of the Course in Miracles.
David has been studying the I AM. He believes that the I AM is not subject to any limitations. Truth does not have exceptions. Therefore, the I AM is eternal. David has been learning about the "I AM" that is before all history. He has found that the I AM does not require focus and can be brought to full awareness through Spirit.
Remote healings vs a christian mystic
A Christian mystic may use remote healings to help people heal themselves. However, many critics have criticized him for simplifying mystical experiences. They argue that the mystical practices of Christians are influenced by androcentricity and outdated scientific beliefs.
