an international audience.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan
Shah Rukh Khan is all set to
return to the silver screen with Jawan, which will see him play a dual role.
The film is helmed by Bollywood debutant Atlee and also stars Nayanthara and
Vijay Sethupathi. The movie is set to be released on September 7 and it has
already created a lot of buzz with its stellar cast.
The first look poster of the
film had released back in June 2022, and SRK’s character was shown in
silhouette at night, wielding what appears to be a spear of some kind. The
actor’s fans have been going crazy over his striking physical change in the
poster. Moreover, the film is said to be a slick action thriller and will have
some intense emotional scenes as well.
Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the
film will feature Nayanthara and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles. It will mark
Nayanthara’s Bollywood debut. The actress is quite popular in the south and her
chemistry with SRK from cult movies like Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express and One
Two Three Four’ has always been loved by the audience. The actress was recently
seen grooving to Arijit Singh’s song ‘Ishqbaaz’ from the upcoming movie Fukrey
2.
As per sources, the trailer of
Jawan will be unveiled soon. It might be attached with the theatrical prints of
Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1. The teaser has been
creating a lot of buzz on social media.
Atlee is one of the most
successful directors in the Tamil cinema industry and he is a massive fan of
Shah Rukh Khan. This is why the director was happy to team up with SRK for
Jawan. The film is said to have a budget in excess of Rs 100 crore.
Anirudh Ravichander is
composing the music for this project. He is a known name in the industry and
has composed many songs for tollywood films. He has also scored an original
score for Bejoy Nambiar’s David and a background score for Shahid Kapoor’s
latest release Jersey. Earlier, AR Rahman was supposed to compose the score for
this project but he backed out from the film due to his busy schedule.
Nana Patekar’s voice in Gadar
2
The excitement surrounding the
upcoming sequel to the iconic Indian cinema blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is
at an all-time high. The film’s teaser took the internet by storm, and fans are
eager to see Ameesha Patel and Sunny Deol reprise their roles in the period
action drama. In a new development that is sure to further entice fans, trade
analyst Taran Adarsh recently revealed that veteran actor Nana Patekar has lent
his voice for the movie. Nana will be the narrator of the movie, and will
introduce Gadar 2 to audiences right from the beginning.
It’s no secret that Nana has
been a huge fan of the 2001 film, which went on to become one of the
highest-grossing Bollywood films of all time. The film’s director Anil Sharma
and Sunny Deol have reunited to bring the much-awaited sequel to life. Interestingly,
Nana will be stepping in for Om Puri, who had lent his voice for the original
film.
Nana’s presence is likely to
add a lot of weight to the film, which will be released on August 11. The
teaser trailer of the movie has already gone viral on social media. It features
the iconic duo of Tara Singh and Sakeena, who have now gotten married and are
parents to an adult Jeetet. The film’s plot is expected to focus on the
unbreakable bond between a father and his son.
The trailer begins with a
voiceover from Nana, who urges people to fight for their country. It then cuts
to a scene from the movie in which the film’s protagonist is seen visiting a
grave in Lahore. A grave that is rumoured to belong to Sakeena’s mother.
The video then ends with a
scene in which Tara is shown sitting beside a grave, with the O Ghar Aaja
Pardesi song playing in the background. While this sequence is not known to be
Sakeena’s actual grave, it has raised speculations that the character may die
in the film.
Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya
The maverick filmmaker Ram
Gopal Varma is back with a sequel to one of his most iconic films – Satya
(1998). He has named the movie Satya 2′ and it will tell the story of D Company
– India’s biggest underworld enterprise. The film has already been screened in
select international festivals and it is all set to release this June.
The film stars Manoj Bajpayee
as Bhiku Mhatre in the film and Urmila Matondkar as Vidya. The film was
produced by Ram Gopal Varma and co-written by Anurag Kashyap and Saurabh
Shukla. The film is an honest portrayal of the Mumbai underworld and is a cult
classic in its own right. The film has won many awards including six Filmfare
awards and a National Award for Bajpayee.
It was the first of three
films that formed part of Ram Gopal Varma’s Gangster Trilogy – subsequently
followed by D Company and Kallu Mama. The film paved the way for a new wave of
Hindi cinema and it was also the start of a long career for the actor Manoj
Bajpayee. He has also won many accolades for the film and it was the first of
several critically acclaimed roles that he did in Bollywood.
Despite the fact that the film
didn’t make much money at the box office, it did get critical acclaim and the
maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was able to prove himself as a credible
director after the failure of his previous film – Daud. Moreover, it also
helped him to move away from the Khans and Kapoors and he could now focus on
making a film that was completely his own.
The film had a lot of young
actors in the lead and it was a great mix of talent. The likes of Shefali Shah,
Aditya Shrivastava and Saurabh Shukla were all in the early stages of their
careers and the film gave them a platform to showcase their skills. The film
also launched the career of the uber-cool actor Manoj Bajpayee who went on to
win many awards for his performance in the film.
Kichcha Sudeep’s Kichcha 46

Kalaippuli S Thanu under the V Creations banner and it will have a pan-India
release. The film has been directed by Vijay Karthikeyan and Kantara fame
Ajaneesh Loknath is composing the music for the project.
The teaser of the film
showcases Sudeep being shot at and bloodied. He tries to remove the bullets but
eventually is told that he is no longer a human and is now a demon. It is a
powerful teaser and has received huge response from the audience.
Jacqueline Fernandez, Neetha
Ashok and Nirup Bhandari are also part of the film. The film is already running
high on the box office charts and it is expected to be a big hit in the Hindi
circuit as well. The film has raked in over Rs 10 crore in the Telugu states
alone.
On the political front, there
were rumours that Kichcha Sudeep would be joining the BJP and campaigning for
it in Karnataka. However, the actor clarified that he will only campaign for
the party and will not join them nor contest the elections in the state.
Meanwhile, the actor has
started working on his next project with Anup Bhandari titled Billa Ranga
Baasha. He will play the lead role in the film which is being mounted on a huge
budget.
Apart from these, the actor
